Despite the proliferation of online media, print ads in newspapers and magazines are still an effective form of advertising. Magazine ads in particular have several advantages.
They can be targeted to the audience interested in the product- eg, cosmetics advertised in a fashion magazine, food in a cooking magazine etc. You can ask for your ad to be placed on a specific page, perhaps beside a relevant article, to increase its appeal. Magazines often have longstanding loyal readers who are more likely to be receptive to its ads and magazines in general have a longer life than newspapers or online sites.
